I started performing with harmonicist Grégoire Maret when he joined Dapp Theory in 1999. We started to explore “standards” repertoire on Dapp Theory gigs as a duo and discovered we shared a similar relationship to balancing heart and mind. In 2005, we were approached by ObliqSound to record a duo CD which gave us the opportunity to explore new dimensions to our musical conversations. With this innovative recording of duets, Grégoire and I were thrust into a journey of mutual self-discovery and boundary stretching. Following the release of Scenarios in 2007, we performed festivals and clubs in Europe, the United States and Canada, including a performance at the 2008 Montreux Jazz Festival that featured a string quartet.

Since that time, Grégoire has toured with Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Pat Metheny, Cassandra Wilson and now leads his own projects. We continue to perform occasionally with Jamie Baum and with Dapp Theory special projects.
